Q: What is the product?

A: Our organization creates individualized mapmaking and data visualization projects that help to improve operational efficiency and diversify communication strategies. Our program is based on a design-implement-evaluate model. At each stage of this model, the most important aspect is the collaboration between us and our client. The design phase includes a comprehensive needs assessment and project design. During project implementation, we assist in data collection, mapping, and cartographic product development. We also complete trainings in GPS and GIS. In the evaluation phase, we seek critical feedback in order to inform the work we do for future projects. The products include various maps, a detailed training manual, an updated database, handheld GPS devices, and a sustainability plan. Ultimately, we are focused on helping our partner organizations realize the power of maps and sustain the projects we create together.
